Hair Products

Being a hairstylist that stays busy, I get asked a lot of questions about various products. I decided I would dedicate an entire blog to the ones I love most and suggest for my clients. Of course, I always recommend professional products. So, let’s get right into it!

Shampoo/Conditioner:

For all hair types, I tell my clients to use a color-treated shampoo and conditioner. Most brands make at least one that is universal and will usually be listed as color-treated only.

For someone who has thin/oily hair, I suggest using a light shampoo. Volume shampoos work as well, but I prefer light versions better.

For someone with coarse/dry hair, I recommend using a product with hydrating or moisturizing properties. I do not recommend these to people who wash their hair daily or have naturally thin or oily hair. It can only make it worse.

My go-to volume product is Moroccanoil Root Boost. I tend to avoid most mousse products because they can leave the hair feeling dry.

My favorite oil is definitely Sebastian Dark Oil! I rave about this product all the time. A little goes a long way. It’s great for all hair types and you can use a small amount in dried hair for added shine.

I’m also a big fan of Olaplex No.6. It’s very concentrated so you don’t need much at all.

Honestly, I could go on and on about my favorite hair products but these are the products I continue to recommend.
